WHO AM I ?

I am John Conneely. A musician, webdesigner and father of 3 living on the west coast of Ireland. I have many and varied interests such as photography, film editing & effects, sound recording, hiking in the wilderness and swimming in deep blue sea.

For the past 4 years I have been working as a company webdesigner. I like to build clean and visualy appealing websites using a combination of Photoshop CS4 and Dreamweaver CS4.

EDUCATION

I finished school with my leaving cert and went to Ballyfermot Music College. Upon completion of this course I began to perform extensively with various bands. I have had many jobs including; Web Designer, Dish Washer, Tiler, Mussle Farmer, Film Extra, Roofer, Event Manager, Driver, Camera Operator, Video Editor, Film Sound Designer.

For the past 4 years I have been working as a web designer for the Cork based company Jacc Ltd. I have extensive experience with Dreamweaver, Photoshop, CSS, Javascript, Html, PSD to XHTML, Logo design, Print Media Design.

About 3 years ago I bought a Canon Rebel XT (350D) SLR digital camera and fell head over heels in love with the still image medium. I am lucky enough to live near the Burren in Co. Clare where the light is unique and everchanging. I have also spent alot of time photographing the landscape of Connemara. I am interested in HDR and digital manipulation of photographs and I enjoy the challange of restoring old and damaged photos to a near perfect state.

MUSIC

I have been performing as a musician for as long as I can remember. Since I got a guitar aged 13 I have been writing and recording my own songs and have been known to interpret a few well known covers aswell. My musical influences are vast but right at the top is John "The Guvnor" Martyn. This man, more than anyone else, has left his musical mark on me.
